
Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Valkyries Beat Fever
Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever fell to the Golden State Valkyries, 88-75, on Tuesday at home.
The loss dropped Indiana to 14-10, leaving the Fever tied with Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream for fifth place in the WNBA standings.
Golden State improved to 18-7, extended its winning streak to eight games and moved into second place.
Clark struggled to find her rhythm for much of the night before catching fire in the fourth quarter. She finished with 13 points while shooting 29 percent from the field and 1-of-8 from 3-point range. Clark also added six assists, one steal and one block in the loss.
Cunningham provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and four steals.
Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell carried the offensive load for Indiana's starting lineup, combining for 35 of the starters' 54 points. Boston also contributed two steals, while Mitchell dished out four assists.

Kaitlyn Chen sparked the Valkyries off the bench with 14 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting performance, adding a steal and three assists. Tiffany Hayes also provided a lift with 13 points off the bench.
Gabby Williams paced Golden State's starters with 16 points, three steals and one block, while Cecilia Zandalasini chipped in 10 points and one block.
The Valkyries shot 52 percent from the field, compared with 40 percent for the Fever, helping Golden State secure the road victory.

The Valkyries carried a 40-30 lead into halftime behind 11 points from Williams, while Kayla Thornton chipped in five rebounds.
Indiana struggled to generate offense in the first half as Clark was limited to two points and two assists. Mitchell scored nine points, and Cunningham added six.
After trailing by as many as 12 points, the Fever stormed back in the third quarter, erasing the deficit and taking the lead with just over 2:30 remaining. Golden State answered with a 12-4 run to close the period and carried a seven-point advantage into the fourth.
The Fever trimmed the deficit to seven with less than two minutes remaining, setting up a tense finish behind a strong fourth quarter from Clark.
Golden State answered with a 6-0 run to put the game away. Indiana emptied its bench in the closing moments as the Valkyries sealed the victory.
The Fever return to action Friday when they host the Seattle Storm.
