Jalen Hurts 'Not a Factor' in QB Ranking Poll, Latest Rumors on How NFL Execs View Eagles Star
Jalen Hurts has taken the Philadelphia Eagles to a pair of Super Bowls and won one, but he's still not viewed as a top quarterback around the league by NFL executives.
Hurts didn't crack the top 10 in a recent poll of coaches, executives and scouts on the top quarterbacks by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
"He was not a factor at all in the voting of this exercise," Fowler said on the Rich Eisen Show (1:30 mark). "I think he was on 15 percent of the ballots. No vote higher than nine or 10. It's just one of those things where there's not a ton of buzz around Jalen Hurts league-wide right now."
Hurts is coming off another solid season in which he threw for 3,224 yards, 25 touchdowns and six interceptions, adding 421 yards and eight scores on the ground.
But as Fowler noted, the Eagles' passing offense has ranked in the bottom third of the league in back-to-back seasons, and the main reason Philadelphia has remained a playoff team is because of its defense, which was one of the best in the NFL last year.
Hurts has shown in the past that he's capable of taking over and putting up big offensive numbers, but that hasn't been the case over the last two years.
Perhaps he'll use the slight from the recent poll as motivation heading into the 2026 campaign.
