MLB All-Star Game 2026 Live Updates, Results and Highlights

Zachary D. RymerJul 14, 2026

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of the 2026 MLB All-Star Game. It's the American League against the National League, starting at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia is playing host, and the Home Run Derby on Monday set the tone for a celebration of local favorites. And not just of Phillies stars like Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and Brandon Marsh, but also Mike Trout. He grew up not far away in Millville, New Jersey and is well-known as a Philly fanatic—not to be confused with the Phillie Phanatic, of course.

We'll have updates for all the action, as well as highlights and anything else worth passing along from the 96th iteration of the Midsummer Classic.

Just keep it here, where posts will appear in reverse chronological order from newest to oldest.

Lineups and Preview for 2026 All-Star Game

1 of 1
Los Angeles Angels v. Minnesota Twins
Mike Trout

American League Starting Lineup

  1. CF Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels
  2. DH Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros
  3. C Shea Langeliers, Athletics
  4. 3B Junior Caminero, Tampa Bay Rays
  5. SS Bobby Witt Jr., Kansas City Royals
  6. RF Cody Bellinger, New York Yankees
  7. 1B Ben Rice, New York Yankees
  8. LF Riley Greene, Detroit Tigers
  9. 2B Ernie Clement, Toronto Blue Jays

Starting Pitcher: Dylan Cease, Toronto Blue Jays

John Schneider of the Blue Jays put this lineup together for the AL, and it seems obviously designed to get Trout a standing ovation right off the bat at Citizens Bank Park. If so, a classy gesture.

It's otherwise not surprising that Schneider tabbed his own ace to start. Yankees fireballer Cam Schlittler might have been a better choice on paper, but he isn't going to pitch in the game. And besides, Cease has a 2.56 ERA and leads the AL with 148 strikeouts

National League Starting Lineup

  1. DH Kyle Schwarber, Philadelphia Phillies
  2. LF Juan Soto, New York Mets
  3. 1B Freddie Freeman, Los Angeles Dodgers
  4. SS CJ Abrams, Washington Nationals
  5. 3B Max Muncy, Los Angeles Dodgers
  6. 2B Ozzie Albies, Atlanta Braves
  7. RF Brandon Marsh, Philadelphia Phillies
  8. CF Andy Pages, Los Angeles Dodgers
  9. C Drake Baldwin, Atlanta Braves

Starting Pitcher: Cristopher Sánchez, Philadelphia Phillies

You have to hand it to Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts for playing to the crowd. Schwarber will lead off in front of tens of thousands of adoring fans. And even before Milwaukee Brewers ace Jacob Misiorowski took himself out of the running, Sánchez was the easy pick to start as a hometown hero.

Otherwise, what's most notable about the NL's lineup is that Shohei Ohtani is not in it. The four-time (and likely five-time by the end of 2026) is taking time to rest a sore knee.
