Meanwhile, Philadelphia Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber sits atop the batting order for the National League.
Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Dylan Cease and Phillies lefty Cristopher Sánchez were previously announced as the starting pitchers for the AL and NL squads, respectively.
Trout is familiar with the All-Star experience, as he earned his 12th career All-Star nod this season.
The 34-year-old was excited to travel to Philadelphia and compete in the event at Citizens Bank Park, which is located approximately 40 miles away from his hometown of Millville, New Jersey.
"It was definitely on my list when it came out, so it's pretty cool," Trout said, per MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger. "Just the kids, friends, family. It just means a lot."
"I love playing in it, but it's an experience for my kids and family," he added. "It's going to be good to be able to stay at my house and enjoy a few days. And I know my kids are excited for the Derby, and obviously the game too."
Trout has thrived at the event in past years, becoming the only player in MLB history to win consecutive All-Star Game MVP awards in 2014-15.
As for Schwarber, he's been a crucial piece of a Phillies lineup that has helped them compile a 54-43 record this season.
The four-time All-Star leads the majors with 32 home runs and has racked up nine doubles, 59 walks and 59 RBI. Schwarber has also posted a .927 OPS.
He'll be busy throughout the All-Star festivities, as he's set to compete in the Home Run Derby as well.
The 2026 MLB All-Star Game is on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
