Sutton caught 74 passes for 1,017 yards and seven touchdowns while appearing in all 17 games during the regular season. His impact was a little more muted during the playoffs, though he did score Denver's lone touchdown in the AFC title game.
But earning a second Pro Bowl nod and the Broncos' team success was enough for Sutton to get some serious praise from his peers.
The 30-year-old justified the $92 million extension he signed last summer.
Sutton is unlikely to be his team's leading receiver in 2026, but that may not speak to his individual effectiveness. Denver made a massive addition to the receiving corps by acquiring Jaylen Waddle.
Waddle figures to have a feature role, one bigger than he had while sharing an offense with Tyreek Hill on the Dolphins.
If opposing secondaries are occupied with Waddle, that will give Sutton a little more space on the edge. The Dolphins had two 1,000-yard receivers in 2022 and 2023, and that's something Denver could replicate given how much it appears to be emphasizing the passing game.
Brooks was an All-Pro after leading the NFL in tackles (183), a total that tied for the 10th-most ever in a single season. He added 3.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler focused Tuesday on linebackers as part of his annual positional rankings. Brooks came in at seventh after being unranked ahead of the 2025 season.
"Brooks has a skill set similar to Demario Davis when he was young โ really strong, fast, physical, can play in space, very good tackler," one rival coordinator said.
The Dolphins are in a full-scale rebuild after cleaning house and hiring a new head coach and general manager. They're also banking on Malik Willis to be their quarterback of the future.
Miami probably could've traded Brooks this offseason and gotten some valuable draft capital back. The fact he's still around leads you to believe he's part of the franchise's long-term plans, and that will mean eventually giving him a big raise on the $8.8 million average salary he's earning.
The 28-year-old certainly merits it.
