New LeBron James Rumors on Warriors, Heat, 76ers' Pursuit of Star Amid Cavs Buzz in NBA Free Agency
The Golden State Warriors "appear determined to stay in it until the end" when it comes to the LeBron James sweepstakes, according to The Stein Line's Marc Stein.
Stein reported Tuesday that Golden State "has not relented in its pursuit," though it isn't the only team.

"The same is presumed true about Miami and Philadelphia as James continues to weigh a return to the East with a greater willingness than many around the league anticipated before free agency began," per the report.
Stein also relayed a remark from Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch, who's optimistic about the Wolves' chances.
"I think they've made everybody feel like they genuinely have an opportunity," Finch said of James and his agent, Rich Paul.
Everyone outside of James' camp is pretty much in the dark right now. The four-time MVP isn't commenting publicly on his free agency, and he isn't even speaking directly with prospective suitors.
As a result, fans and NBA personnel are left to draw their own conclusions based on little tangible evidence.
Front Office Sports' Alex Schiffer reported Wednesday the Cleveland Cavaliers are favored by some to sign James, but "multiple Western Conference executives" expect him to land in the Bay Area.
That comes after Brian Windhorst of ESPN cited a source last week who said LeBron has "a done deal" with a team that isn't the Cavs.
Some fans are probably growing a bit fatigued by this whole process.
Because insiders and analysts are unable to provide much fresh insight, the same broad points are being repeated over and over again.
There don't appear to be any other major dominoes to fall, either. The Warriors had to abandon their plan of reuniting James with Anthony Davis, and the other teams in the mix have little salary cap space, few good trade assets, or a combination of the two.
But it's fun that a free agent of James' caliber could plausibly sign with so many different teams. That's a departure from how this typically plays out.
