Dolphins Star Named 'Most Underrated Player in the League' by NFL Exec in New Rankings Poll
The Miami Dolphins might not have much to look forward to this season, but some execs think they have one of the best offensive linemen in the league.
In a poll from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, NFL executives, coaches and scouts named center Aaron Brewer as the 10th-best interior offensive lineman in the league. One exec called Brewer the "most underrated player in the league," according to Fowler.
While one coordinator labeled Brewer as "scheme specific," he added that "his twitchiness and explosiveness are off the charts."
Added a defensive coach: "He's good but accentuated by scheme, in my opinion. Athletic but not powerful."
Brewer went undrafted out of Texas State in 2020 and spent the first four years of his career with the Tennessee Titans. He experienced a breakthrough upon joining the Dolphins in 2024, earning a second-team All-Pro nod in 2025.
Brewer had an 87.4 PFF grade last year, which ranked second among centers. His 91.5 run block grade was the best at his position.
The Dolphins clearly think highly of Brewer, as they gave him a three-year, $52.5 million extension in June that made him one of the highest-paid centers in the NFL.
Miami has much to figure out as it looks to get back to being a playoff-caliber team, but it can't rest assured knowing it has one of the best centers in the NFL on its roster.
