
Drake Loses $1M Bet After Conor McGregor Suffers Injury in 1st Round of UFC 329 Fight vs. Holloway
Drake officially lost his $1 million bet on Conor McGregor to defeat Max Holloway at UFC 329 on Saturday night.
McGregor suffered a leg injury in the opening stages of the first round and was unable to continue, as the referee waived off the fight.
As for Drake, the rapper announced that he placed $1 million on McGregor to beat Holloway on Friday.
He isn't a stranger to placing large wagers on fights, as heย lostย aย $200,000 bet on Charles Oliveira to defeat Ilia Topuria in their lightweight title match at UFC 317ย afterย winningย his $545,000 bet on Alexander Volkanovski to beatย Diego Lopes at UFC 314.
As for McGregor, the loss marked a swift end to his first UFC fight since July 2021.
Meanwhile, Holloway was open to facing the 37-year-old for a third time in the future.
"So much hype for that, right? We've got to run it back one more time," Holloway said after the fight. "One more time for the boys."
Holloway improved to 28-9 with the victory, while McGregor fell to 22-7.
