Drake Loses $200K Bet as Ilia Topuria KOs Charles Oliveira at UFC 317 to Win Title
Drake lost a $200,000 bet on Charles Oliveira to beat Ilia Topuria in their lightweight title match at UFC 317 on Saturday evening.
Topuria knocked out Oliveira in the first round of Saturday night's main event to win the lightweight title. Had Oliveira won, Drake would have profited $680,000 for a $880,000 total payout.

This was obviously a risky bet given the long odds Oliveira faced.
Topuria has been tremendous in his professional career, going 16-0 with six knockouts and eight submissions entering Saturday's bout. He was also 8-0 in the UFC entering the fight, including a second-round knockout over Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title and a third-round knockout against Max Holloway in a title defense.
The 35-year-old Oliveira is a tremendous fighter in his own right, with his career apex occurring in May 2021, when he won the vacant UFC Lightweight Championship against Michael Chandler. He's been a bit uneven over his last four fights, though, going 2-2 with losses to Makhachev (second-round submission) and Arman Tsarukyan (split decision). Oliveira is coming off a victory, though, beating Chandler by unanimous decision last November.
