'Aura' Amir Khan Reunites with Will Wade at LSU in Transfer Portal After Viral Popularity at McNeese
"Aura" Amir Khan, who went viral as McNeese's student manager during the 2024-25 NCAA tournament, is taking his talents to LSU.
"Yeah, I'll be a student manager for one more year," he told ESPN's Myron Medcalf on Tuesday, confirming he's following head coach Will Wade to Baton Rouge.
"Beyond grateful for everything McNeese has done for me and it will always be home," he added. "I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity to work with my dream coaching staff at my dream school."

Khan went viral during the 2024-25 tournament with McNeese, leading the team out of the tunnel. He became so famous that he earned "20 NIL deals that combined to exceed six figures," per Medcalf.
When Wade went to NC State ahead of the 2025-26 season, Khan followed, though he ultimately returned to McNeese.
But he's reunited with Wade for a third time, hoping to inspire LSU to new heights.
