Caitlin Clark Injury, Return Timeline Updated Ahead of Fever vs. A'ja Wilson, Aces
Caitlin Clark will miss a second straight game when the Indiana Fever face the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, according to USA Today's Meghan L. Hall.
Clark did not play in the Fever's most recent game, which was a 111-87 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on June 27, due to a back injury.
Although there was more than a week between that contest and Indiana's next game on the road against Las Vegas on Sunday, it was not enough time for Clark to get healthy enough to return to the lineup.

On June 24, Clark exited the Fever's 111-109 loss to the Phoenix Mercury during the third quarter due to a back injury.
It is unclear when or how the injury was suffered, but Clark absorbed her fair share of physicality throughout the contest.
Most notably, Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas was seen pressing her fist against Clark's throat during the second quarter after Clark went down to the floor while driving to the basket (beginning at the 3:45 mark of the video):
Thomas was not called for a foul on the play, but the WNBA later suspended her for one game.
Clark, 24, is in the midst of her third WNBA season, and she remains a highly productive player when healthy.
Starting 17 of the Fever's 19 games so far this season, Clark is averaging 21.2 points, 8.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.6 three-pointers made per contest.
In 2024, after going first overall in the WNBA draft, Clark was named WNBA Rookie of the Year, and she finished fourth in MVP voting by virtue of averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 3.1 three-pointers made and 1.3 steals.
Although expectations were sky high for Clark in 2025, quad and groin injuries limited her to just 13 games.
Entering the 2026 season healthy, there was hope that Clark would take the Fever to the next level, but it has been an up-and-down campaign for Indiana thus far.
Although they are a solid third in the Eastern Conference, the Fever are only seventh out of 15 teams in the league overall with an 11-8 mark.
The Fever did manage to win their last game without Clark, but doing so on Sunday against the reigning WNBA champion Aces led by four-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson will be an entirely different challenge.
