New NBA Trade Rumors Reveal Myles Turner Interest After Bucks Send Giannis to Heat
Despite agreeing to send Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat earlier this week, the Milwaukee Bucks may not be ready to hold a complete fire sale of the veteran players on their roster.
Per NBA insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer, the Bucks are "not actively engaged" in trade talks for Myles Turner despite receiving calls from teams interested in the veteran center.
One team believed to have interest in Turner is the Toronto Raptors. Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reported on Wednesday the Raptors could try to build a package of Jakob Poeltl, Gradey Dick and potentially draft compensation to entice the Bucks.

The Antetokounmpo trade did signal the end of an era in Milwaukee, but the cupboard isn't necessarily bare because of what general manager Jon Horst got back from the Heat.
Tyler Herro, Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kasparas Jakučionis give the Bucks a solid rotation to work with. They added Brayden Burries and Nate Ament in the first round of the 2026 NBA draft.
This isn't to suggest that the Bucks are going to be a playoff contender next season, but they at least have a path back to relevance in a way they didn't due to their lack of depth around Antetokounmpo.
Despite coming off a down season after signing a four-year, $108.9 million contract with the Bucks as a free agent last summer, Turner would likely have good value in a trade because of he can shoot and is a high-level defensive player.
The 30-year-old had his lowest scoring average (11.9 points per game) since his rookie season in 2015-16, but he also shot 38.3 percent from three on 5.4 attempts per contest.
It wouldn't be a surprise if the Bucks get to a point when they move Turner because it doesn't make sense for him to remain on their roster as a team in the early stages of rebuilding, but they might be holding out to see if the market for him gets better after the first wave of free agency next week.
