KAT's Fiancee Jordyn Woods' Handbag on Display at Guggenheim Museum After Knicks' NBA Title Win
Model and TV personality Jordyn Woods, who is engaged to New York Knicks stare center Karl-Anthony Towns, brought her orange Tux Clutch Mini (via her fashion label, Woods by Jordyn) on the Knicks' 2026 championship run, and the handbag became a good luck charm as New York won its first title since 1973.
After the Knicks came back from 29 points down to win Game 4, 107-106, Towns said that they needed to put the lucky bag in the Whitney or the Guggenheim.
Sure enough, that's happening.
The Guggenheim announced on Thursday that the bag will be on display for five days.
"For five days, Woods's own lucky bag will be on view, offering Knicks fans from around the world an opportunity to experience part of New York City and NBA history at one of the city's most iconic spaces.
" Woods's bag became the team's good luck charm, going viral as she carried it with her to cheer on the team from courtside throughout the Knicks historic 13-game winning streak, and again at the final game 5 win.
"Fans of her brand and countless Knicks supporters leaned into the superstition, tying the orange clutch to the team's success."
The bag has taken on a life of its own. Even New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani held the bag during the Knicks' championship parade.
All told, the Knicks went on a 15-game winning streak when Woods brought the bag to games.
The lone exception during that stretch was Game 3 of the NBA Finals, when Woods (and all fans) couldn't bring bags as part of a no-bag policy enacted after President Donald Trump visited Madison Square Garden to take in the Spurs' 115-111 win over the Knicks.
Overall, New York went 16-3 in the playoffs (their other two losses were against the Atlanta Hawks in the first round) en route to a thoroughly dominating postseason performance that also included the biggest point differential per game in NBA playoff history (14.9).
