Angel Reese's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Valkyries Beat Dream
Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream saw their four-game winning streak come to an end Wednesday, falling to Gabby Williams and the Golden State Valkyries in a 77-66 road defeat.
Atlanta struggled to find its rhythm offensively, as the Dream's starting lineup combined for 40 points while the team shot 39 percent from the field and 22 percent from deep.
The loss dropped Atlanta into third place at 12-5, behind the Las Vegas Aces, who moved into second in the WNBA standings.
It was a rare off night for Reese, who was limited to a season-low 10 points on 25 percent shooting from the field. The forward still contributed a double-double with 12 rebounds, four assists and a steal but never found a consistent rhythm offensively.
Madina Okot led the Dream off the bench with 16 points while shooting 77 percent from the field. Allisha Gray finished with eight points despite a tough night from 3-point range, and Rhyne Howard added 12 points, a steal and a block.

Williams led the Valkyries with 23 points while adding a steal and a block. Kayla Thornton added 17 points and Cecilia Zandalasini finished with 14 points as Golden State put together a balanced offensive effort.
The Valkyries improved to 11-7 on the season, snapping a two-game skid and winning for the fifth time in their last seven games.
Despite the strong stretch, Golden State remained in sixth place in the WNBA standings, trailing the fifth-place Dallas Wings.

Golden State seized control early and carried a commanding 44-27 lead into halftime behind 11 first-half points from Thornton. Reese was held scoreless through the opening two quarters as Atlanta struggled to generate offense.
Reese got on the board with four points in the third quarter, but the Dream still entered the final period facing a 23-point deficit.
After trailing by as many as 26 points, Atlanta mounted a late rally and trimmed the margin to as few as 10. The comeback effort ultimately fell short, however, as the Valkyries held on for the home victory.
The Dream will have another opportunity against Golden State on Friday, returning to the road to face the Valkyries for the second of three times in a five-game stretch between the teams.
