Keith Tkachuk, Patrice Bergeron Headline 2026 Hockey Hall of Fame Class
The NHL officially revealed the Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2026 on Monday.
The league announced that this year's group of inductees will include Keith Tkachuk, Patrice Bergeron, Carey Price, Pekka Rinne, Cindy Curley and Brian Burke. This year's class will be inducted on Nov. 9.
Tkachuk, who is the father of Florida Panthers forwards Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, played 18 seasons in the NHL and was a member of Team USA's gold-medal team at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. He is just one of four American-born players to score 500 goals in the NHL, ending his career with 538.
"I was blessed to play in the greatest sports league in the world," Tkachuk said in a release. "Through good times and bad times, it was always the best experience imaginable."
Bergeron, who was in his first year of eligibility for the Hall of Fame, played his entire 20-year career with the Boston Bruins before retiring in 2023. He finished with 1,040 points (427 goals, 613 assists) in 1,294 games, and he helped lead the Bruins to the Stanley Cup in 2011. The team announced last week that his No. 37 will be retired at some point next season.
"This honor is the pinnacle of my career and represents the coaches and players that I went to battle with," Bergeron said. "It's a surreal honor and I'm thankful that hockey has given so much to me and my family."
Price played his entire 15-season NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens and established himself as one of the best goalies of all time, earning seven All-Star selections. He won the Vezina Trophy, the Hart Memorial Trophy, the William M. Jennings Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award for his stellar 2014-15 season. He remains Montreal's all-time leader in wins with 361 in 712 games after retiring in 2022.
Rinne also played 15 seasons in the NHL and spent his entire career with the Nashville Predators. He won the Vezina Trophy in 2017-18 and is the franchise's all-time leader with 369 wins, a 2.43 GAA, .917 save percentage and 60 shutouts in 683 games.
Curley helped Team USA win silver medals in the IIHF Women's Hockey Championships in 1990, 1992 and 1994. She played for Providence College and helped it win back-to-back NCAA championships in 1983-84 and 1984-85.
Burke began his NHL management career in 1987. He served as general manager of the Hartford Whalers, Vancouver Canucks and Anaheim Ducks, winning a Stanley Cup with the latter in 2007. He also served as president of hockey operations for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins.
