
Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Fever Beat Sun
Caitlin Clark helped lead the Indiana Fever to their third straight victory on Saturday, finishing off an 85-75 road win over the Connecticut Sun.
While Clark set the tone throughout the game, Sophie Cunningham delivered the decisive blow late, scoring 11 consecutive Fever points in the closing minutes to secure the victory.
The Fever moved to 4-1 in Commissioner's Cup competition, keeping pace near the top of the Eastern Conference but still trailing the undefeated Liberty, who remained at 4-0. Indiana's only setback in Cup play has come at the hands of New York.
Meanwhile, Connecticut remained at the bottom of the Commissioner's Cup standings with an 0-5 record.
Clark paced Indiana with 25 points, connecting on 50 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc and contributing a block as Indiana improved to 8-5.
Indiana received limited production from its bench on Saturday, which combined for just 16 points. Cunningham was held scoreless for most of the game before erupting in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, delivering a crucial late scoring burst that broke open the lead for the Fever.

Dropping to 2-13 on the season, Connecticut was led by Olivia Nelson-Ododa, who scored 12 points off the bench while shooting 50 percent from the field. Meanwhile, Brittney Griner added 10 points, two rebounds, and two blocks.

Connecticut struggled offensively in the second quarter, managing only nine points as Indiana built a 47-38 halftime advantage. Clark led the way for the Fever before the break, totaling 12 points and four assists.
The Sun responded after intermission, scoring 22 points in the third quarter to trim the deficit and set up a tightly contested final period, with Indiana carrying a narrow three-point lead into the fourth.
Clinging to a two-point lead with 2:30 remaining, Cunningham took over down the stretch, scoring 11 consecutive points to propel the Fever to the victory.
Indiana returns home to face the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday, while Connecticut will welcome the Washington Mystics on Wednesday.
