Stephon Castle Says Spurs 'Made History All Year,' Talks 3-1 NBA Finals Deficit vs. Knicks
As the San Antonio Spurs look to regroup after their historic collapse in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks, Stephon Castle remains optimistic about their chances of getting back into the series.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Castle explained the Spurs have "made history all year" so trailing 3-1 against the Knicks gives them another opportunity to add to their story.

Looking back at blowing the 29-point lead in a 107-106 loss in Game 4, Castle noted he primarily felt the issues were on defense when they had "bad" possessions on that end of the floor.
The Knicks' 29-point deficit marked the largest single-game comeback in NBA Finals history.
Castle's assessment started on defense isn't necessarily wrong because the Knicks shot 51.2 percent from the field (11-of-20 from three) in the second half, but their offense cratered after the intermission.
The Spurs put up 76 points in the first half, with their 14 made threes setting a Finals record for a single half. They made a total of eight shots after halftime.
Even though the Spurs are a team led by their defense, you still have to score to win games. They completely overwhelmed the Knicks early in the game before being unable to buy a bucket.
Now, the Spurs have their backs against the wall and will need to become the second team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the Finals if they want to cap off this magical season with a title.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are the only team to win the NBA Finals after falling behind 3-1, accomplishing the feat in 2016 against the Golden State Warriors.
If there is a reason to be hopeful, the Spurs recently overcame a 3-2 series deficit in the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. They won Game 6 at home before taking Game 7 on the road.
San Antonio will have two of the final three games at home if it can extend the series to a full seven games. The first hurdle for the Spurs to clear is on Saturday night when they host the Knicks in Game 5.
