Karl-Anthony Towns Hasn't Scored in Q4 of NBA Finals, Full Box-Score Stats Go Viral from Games 1-3
New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns has by-and-large played well in these NBA Finals as his team has taken a 2-1 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs.
There is one peculiar quirk in his stat line, though: Towns, who averaged 20.1 PPG in the regular season and is posting 16.7 PPG in the NBA Finals, hasn't scored in the fourth quarter of the championship series through three games:

Towns has also been a bit quiet in the second halves of the past two games, scoring just six total points. He went 1-of-6 for two points in Game 3 over the final 24 minutes.
However, one of Towns' biggest contributions to the team has been his defense on San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama, particularly in Game 1, when he shot just 6-of-21 (2-of-9 from three). Towns has also done well on the boards (11.0 per game) and amassed nine assists, four steals and four blocks.
In the end, the Knicks are up two games to one and still have the upper hand, even if Towns hasn't had the best offensive showing late in games. He can re-write that story quickly Wednesday when the Knicks host the Spurs for Game 4 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
