
'What I'm Built For,' Wemby Discusses Pressure of NBA Finals, Says Knicks Crowd Not a Problem'
The San Antonio Spurs have dug themselves a major hole in the NBA Finals after dropping the first two games of the series against the New York Knicks.
But superstar Victor Wembanyama is trying to keep the right mindset.
"I think the key is acceptance, a lot of times," he told reporters when asked how he deals with the pressure ahead of must-win games at Madison Square Garden. "Taking a step back, realizing the journey that's behind us and what's ahead of us. And just being OK with who I am, where I am, what I'm doing. At the end of the day, this is everything that I wished for, there's no reason to overthink it. This is what I'm built for."

He's certainly not worried about what will surely be a frenzied environment during Games 3-4 at MSG:
The Knicks are going to make life very difficult for the Wemby and the Spurs, however. They've now won 13 straight games in these playoffs as they look to end a 53-year title drought. It will take a special level of resilience for these Spurs to claw their way back into the series.
But they already took down the former champs, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Don't be surprised if the Spurs fight back.
