During the ensuing timeout, Johnson discussed the matter with officials. Dream assistant coaches restrained Johnson from getting closer to the refs as he appeared to get angrier about the matter. Eventually, Johnson was ejected, and three College Park, Georgia police officers escorted him off the court.
Johnson spoke about the matter afterward, per ESPN's Michael Voepel.
"There's nothing more than that," Johnson told reporters. "That's it. Officials did what was appropriate, and that's all I can say."
Johnson declined to talk about why the play made him upset.
"I don't want to take away from Atlanta playing really hard and from us having a learning moment for our team," he said.
"Not a great moment for our team or me ... but that certainly doesn't define the togetherness, the toughness, the joy we have. My ejection is not a great thing. That's certainly not going to be a consistent thing."
It was a ough game for Washington, which trailed 64-43 when Johnson got ejected en route to the 32-point loss. The Dream also shot 52 percent from three, made 32 free throws and out-rebounded the Mystics 42-26.
