Wan'Dale Robinson Talks Rondale Moore Tribute With Titans Jersey Number in Video

Paul KasabianJun 5, 2026

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson revealed to Kay Adams on FanDuel TV's "Up & Adams" show that he is wearing No. 4 this season in honor of his friend, ex-NFL wideout Rondale Moore, who died at the age of 25 on Feb. 21.

"I didn't want it," Robinson said regarding No. 17, which the former University of Kentucky star wore with the New York Giants for four years before signing in free agency with Tennessee. Adams had asked about No. 17 (held by Titans wideout Chimere Dike) and whether he or Titans' rookie wideout Carnell Tate (who wore No. 17 at Ohio State) wanted it.

"I was going in wanting a single digit, and then also my late friend, Rondale Moore, he wore No. 4. So that was kind of the reasoning behind me getting that number. Just kind of to honor him and the time that he was here. That's where I was going in, I wanted No. 4. I don't know about Tate and exactly what went on with him and Dike. But, yeah, I was good with leaving 17 in the past."

Robinson and Moore were good friends, and Kevin Patra of NFL.com relayed more information: "Robinson and Moore, Louisville-area natives who once trained at a facility together, shared a long bond, including both being undersized receivers who propelled their careers to the NFL."

Moore wore No. 4 at Purdue, where he produced one of the most electric seasons in recent college football history in 2018, catching 114 passes for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns while rushing for 213 yards and two more scores. He also had 744 return yards en route to an All-American campaign.

Injuries unfortunately held him to just seven games in 2019 and 2020, but the Arizona Cardinals understandably took a chance on his fantastic talent when they selected him with a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft.

Moore showed flashes of his brilliance at times. Unfortunately, he dealt with a host of injuries in the pros, including preseason ailments that ended his 2024 and 2025 campaigns before they began. Still, no college football fan should forget his electric playmaking abilities any time soon.

Robinson, meanwhile, is carrying his friend's legacy and honoring his memory with his new number. The former Giant has caught 185 passes over the past two seasons, including 92 last year for 1,014 yards and four scores in 2025.

He signed a four-year, $70 million contract with the Titans this offseason as they look to jumpstart their offense in a new era under the leadership of head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.
