Fan Banned from Sitting Courtside at NBA Finals After Verbally Harassing Knicks' Jalen Brunson
Another fan is facing consequences for their actions in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, which saw the San Antonio Spurs face the New York Knicks.
An NBA spokesperson announced that the fan who verbally harassed Knicks star point guard Jalen Brunson during Wednesday's game will be banned from sitting in courtside seats for the remainder of the NBA Finals.
"The fan was not a season ticket holder and if he were to attend another game in this series, he would not be permitted to sit in courtside seats," the league spokesperson said.

Lonzo Calls Brunson Best Knick Ever 👏
ESPN's Tim Bontemps reported that the league was investigating an interaction between Brunson and courtside fans late in the fourth quarter of Game 1, as he appeared to be upset with someone while Knicks forward OG Anunoby was shooting free throws. Brunson was seen having a conversation with referee Scott Foster, the crew chief for Game 1's officials, regarding the matter. He didn't address the incident while speaking to reporters after the Knicks' 105-95 victory.
The latest punishment came after the NBA announced lifetime bans for a fan who ran onto the Frost Bank Center court during the fourth quarter of Game 1 and another individual involved with that incident.
The league has put an emphasis on fan conduct in recent years, and it will continue to try to protect the players from negative behavior.
"It is critical that teams and arenas vigorously enforce the Code of Conduct and not tolerate any misconduct that impacts our players, fans, or otherwise disrupts the game," the league said in an October memo to all 30 teams, per Bontemps.
The Knicks will try to take a 2-0 lead against the Spurs when they meet for Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Friday night.
