Jalen Brunson Talks Mistakes in Knicks' Game 1 Win vs. Spurs, 'Strive to be Perfect'
Jalen Brunson believes he could have played a cleaner Game 1 after the New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 105-95, in the opening salvo of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.
"Throughout a game things are going to happen, and it's all about how you respond and how you continue to push forward," he told ESPN's Malika Andrews on Thursday (1:05 mark). "How you keep your mindset, your mentality. ... I just know there's a lot of decisions I made that could have been better. Couple of my shots were very questionable. Strive to be perfect, knowing that I won't achieve it but just still having that mentality."

Brunson shot just 12-of-31 in the contest and had four turnovers, though he still finished with 30 points and hit a number of crucial shots during the contest. A cleaner performance may be required going forward, but the Knicks still don't win on Tuesday without him.
Game 2 will be Friday night in San Antonio at 8:30 p.m. ET (ABC).
