NHL insider Frank Seravalli offered more details:
The 3-on-3 tournament will be structured as follows:
Russian players will be included on the Rest of World team.
The Skills Competition will include Fastest Skater, Hardest Shot, Stick Handling, One-Timers, Passing and Accuracy challenges, with the top four players advancing to a shootout. The top two players will then face off in an obstacle course to determine the winner.
The 3-on-3 tournament will include 11 players per team, with the NHL and NHLPA deciding on 30 potential options per team and a fan vote deciding on eight players per team. The NHL and NHLPA will then select one forward, one defenseman and one goalie to add to each squad.
