CBB HC Rips LSU's Will Wade in Expletive-Laden Quote After RJ Luis Commitment
LSU men's basketball head coach Will Wade was called out by an anonymous head coach after adding former St. John's standout RJ Luis on Tuesday.
"You're being an idiot assh--e for the sake of being an idiot assh--e," the coach told Jeff Goodman of the Field of 68. "What you're doing is f--king it up for everyone else."
Luis earned Big East Player of the Year honors with St. John's in 2025 before entering the NBA draft. He went undrafted and signed a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz, but was traded to the Boston Celtics.

Boston waived him before the start of the 2025-26 regular season before was re-signed on an Exhibit 10 contract. The Celtics eventually assigned him to their G League affiliate.
According to On3.com's Pete Nakos, Luis currently isn't eligible to play with the Tigers and will likely file a lawsuit.
Wade, who is entering his first season as LSU's head coach, has made several experienced acquisitions.
Forward Saliou Niang reportedly committed to the Tigers on Tuesday after he was previously selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the 2025 NBA draft.
While players picked in the NBA draft have looked to return to the college level before Wade took over as the Tigers' head coach, his 2026-27 roster could feature several contributors over 22 years old.
It seems as though his approach isn't viewed positively within the college basketball landscape.
