Conor McGregor Calls Out Max Holloway in Trending NSFW Posts Ahead of Rematch at UFC 329
Conor McGregor didn't waste time calling out Max Holloway after their rematch at UFC 329 was announced on Saturday night.
McGregor said that he was "gonna son" Holloway in a post on X before telling him to "put respect on my motherf--king name" in a separate post.
McGregor previously secured a unanimous decision victory over Holloway in 2013.
While McGregor has repeatedly expressed a desire to return to the UFC and continue fighting, he hasn't stepped in the Octagon since July 2021.
The former featherweight and lightweight champion was set to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024, but a toe injury forced him to withdraw.
McGregor owns a 22-6 record, becoming the UFC's first fighter to be a simultaneous double champion in 2016. The 37-year-old is coming off a pair of losses to Dustin Poirier, though.
Holloway enters the fight with a record of 27-9. He previously held the featherweight championship as well before moving to lightweight in 2025.
In Holloway's most recent fight, he lost to Charles Oliveira on March 7.
UFC 329 will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 11.
