Cameron Boozer to Grizzlies, Watch Highlights of No. 3 Pick in 2026 NBA Draft
The Memphis Grizzlies selected Duke forward Cameron Boozer with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft on Tuesday night.
Boozer is coming off a freshman season on the Blue Devils in which he earned several accolades, including the Naismith Men's College Player of the Year award, the John R. Wooden Award and the AP men's national player of the year honor.
He averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 55.6 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from behind the arc.
Here's a look at Boozer's top highlights from his lone year at Duke.
The 18-year-old was compared to five-time All-Star Kevin Love by Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman.
"Like Kevin Love did in his prime, Boozer produces with strength below the rim, post skill, three-point shooting and rebounding instincts," Wasserman wrote in his scouting report. "Neither are they the flashiest or shiftiest one-on-one scorers. But Love averaged 26.1 points per game during his best pro season. Boozer has the chance to do the same with his mix of physicality and inside-out offense."
As Memphis looks to take a step forward after finishing with a 25-57 record during the 2025-26 season, Boozer should immediately become a key piece of its frontcourt rotation moving forward.
