Predicting Which Rookie QB Will Have the Best Career ⭐
The 36-year-old Griffin starred at Baylor and was named the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner before Washington selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. He broke out in his rookie year, earning Pro Bowl honors and the Associated Press' Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Griffin led Washington to its first NFC East title in 13 seasons.
Unfortunately, Griffin suffered a torn LCL and ACL in the playoffs against the Seattle Seahawks. The sky-high potential and unbridled excitement Griffin provided in 2012 could not be maintained, and he ultimately lost his starting job to Kirk Cousins in 2014.
Griffin ended up taking part in seven NFL seasons for Washington, the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens (2012-2014, 2016, 2018-2020). He completed 63.0 percent of his passes for 43 touchdowns (30 interceptions) and 9,271 yards (7.3 yards per attempt) while rushing for 1,809 yards and 10 scores (5.9 YPC).
