The Tennessee Titans and wide receiver Carnell Tate, the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, have agreed to a four-year, $51.1 million rookie contract, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Tate's deal includes a $33.6 million signing bonus, Schefter added.

The Titans got their quarterback of the present and future last year when they selected Cam Ward out of Miami with the first overall pick. Now the Titans have their WR1 of the present and future in Tate.

The former Ohio State star amassed 51 catches for 875 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025. He had 52 receptions for 733 yards and four touchdowns the year before for the Buckeyes, who won the national championship.

Tate landed 10th overall on the final B/R NFL Scouting Department big board. He received a grade of 8.1 out of 10 and received a pro comparison of "a bigger DeVonta Smith" in reference to the Philadelphia Eagles wideout.

Tennessee has endured back-to-back 3-14 seasons, and last year's squad finished third-last in the league in scoring (16.7 PPG).

The Titans have a new coaching staff in place, led by head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, so a fresh start certainly provides hope for this team.

Tennessee has remade its wideout group by adding Tate and New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (92/1,1014/4) in 2025. That should certainly lead to improvement as the Titans look to get the Saleh era off to a good start.
