NBA Playoff Bracket 2026, Updated Picture, Schedule After April 22
The No. 1 seeds in the Eastern and Western Conferences were both in action during the first round of the 2026 NBA playoffs on Wednesday.
The Detroit Pistons looked to bounce back from an upset loss against the Orlando Magic in Game 1 of their series, while the Oklahoma City Thunder attempted to take a 2-0 series lead over the Phoenix Suns.
Here's a closer look at the results from Wednesday's games and the upcoming playoff schedule.

Wednesday Highlights
Pistons 98, Magic 83
The first game of the day started off as a defensive showcase, with Detroit holding a 25-21 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Both teams continued to battle in the second, as neither squad held a double-digit edge at any point in the period. The Pistons and Magic were tied 46-46 at the half.
Detroit stepped up on both ends of the floor after halftime, opening the third quarter on a 30-3 run.
Orlando was never able to recover, as the Pistons cruised to the win in the fourth quarter and tied the series.
Cade Cunningham put together an impressive performance in the victory for Detroit, scoring 27 points and dishing out 11 assists while grabbing six rebounds. Cunningham shot 11-of-19 from the field.
Detroit's defense was too much for Orlando to overcome, as the Magic ended the contest with 32.5/25.0/71.9 shooting splits as a team.
Thunder 120, Suns 107
Oklahoma City opened the contest with a 21-14 lead, but Phoenix fought back to only trail 30-29 at the end of the first quarter.
The Suns briefly took a two-point lead early in the second, although the Thunder quickly moved back in front with a 10-2 run.
Oklahoma City led 65-57 at halftime.
The Thunder started to pull away in the third quarter, scoring 35 points in the period to take a 100-77 advantage heading into the fourth.
Oklahoma City led by as many as 26 points, but the Suns fought back and only trailed by 10 with just under four minutes remaining in the game.
Phoenix was never able to pull to within single digits as the Thunder secured the 2-0 series lead, though.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shined in the win, scoring a game-high 37 points on 13-of-25 shooting. Gilgeous-Alexander also recorded nine assists, five rebounds and two steals.
