JJ Redick Instructed Lakers to Make Kevin Durant 'Miserable' in Game 2 Win, Reveals NBA Insider
The Los Angeles Lakers made it a mission to stifle Houston Rockets star forward Kevin Durant in Tuesday's Game 2, and they did just that during their 101-94 victory.
According to The Athletic's Sam Amick, the Lakers are well aware that Durant hates double teams, and "the word was sent from coach JJ Redick and his staff that it was time to make Durant miserable."
Durant, who missed Game 1 with a right knee contusion, produced a team-high 23 points on an efficient 7-of-12 shooting, but he also tied his playoff career-high with a whopping nine turnovers as the Rockets fell behind 0-2 with the series heading to Houston.

Bron, Lakers Take Down KD, Rockets 🗡️
Durant broke down what the Lakers did that was so effective in Tuesday's game before adding that it's up to him and his teammates to overcome the defensive strategy.
"Yeah, they're switching our pick-and-rolls, and then once they switch they're just doubling off of me," Durant said. "So it's hard to get into our actions. We're used to teams playing pick-and-roll, or maybe trapping me or playing in the drop. But they're switching, and then just running a guy at me at the half (court line) or at the three-point (line), or wherever I'm at, to double. We've played this team before, and they know this is the way for them to stay in the game, is to play this type of defense. We've got to make them pay."
The Rockets will have to regroup quickly if they hope to keep their title chase alive this season. Houston and Los Angeles will meet for Game 3 on Friday night.
