LeBron Reacts to Epic Reverse Windmill Dunk in New Trending Video After Lakers' Win

Julia StumbaughApr 22, 2026

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James surprised even himself with his reverse windmill dunk against the Houston Rockets during Tuesday night's first-round Game 2 win.

James, 41, put up his highlight-reel dunk in the third quarter while leading the shorthanded Lakers to a 101-94 victory and 2-0 series lead.

"I don't even know what that was about," James told reporters after the game. "I gotta sit down somewhere."

That wasn't the only dunk James made on Tuesday night. He helped the Lakers close out the win with another late in the fourth quarter.

James finished with a game-high 28 points after going 8-for-20 from the field, 2-for-5 from deep and 10-for-14 from the foul line. He also added eight rebounds and seven assists in the win.

Marcus Smart and Luke Kennard combined for 48 points to help the Lakers, who are indefinitely missing Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves to injury, defeat the Rockets despite the return of Kevin Durant.

Durant, who missed Game 1 with a knee injury, was held to three points in the second half as the Lakers held the Rockets to 24 percent team shooting from deep.

ESPN's Shams Charania reported Tuesday that Reaves has returned to on-court work and is "further along" in his injury rehab than Dončić. James' ability to step up in the absence of his team's top scorers might have increased the chance the Lakers will remain in contention long enough to see Reaves return to the court this postseason.

The Lakers will now have the chance to put Durant and the Rockets on the brink of elimination when Game 3 tips off Friday at 8 p.m. ET in Houston.
