Tuesday Highlights

76ers 111, Celtics 97

After the Celtics wrapped up a 32-point win in Game 1 of the series, they got off to another hot start on Tuesday and led 26-13 with just over three minutes left in the first quarter.

The 76ers fought back this time, cutting the deficit to just three points heading into the second.

Philadelphia eventually jumped in front by outscoring Boston 37-26 in the second quarter, as rookie VJ Edgecombe thrived offensively.

After both teams traded baskets in the third, the Celtics climbed back to trail by a mere two points with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

The 76ers immediately responded with an 11-0 run to seal the upset win, though.

Edgecombe finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and two steals while shooting 12-of-20 from the field and 6-of-10 from three-point territory. Tyrese Maxey also chipped in with 29 points and nine assists.

Trail Blazers 106, Spurs 103

San Antonio bounced back from an early 22-9 deficit to take a one-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but the excitement was short-lived.

Spurs star Victor Wembanyama exited the game in the second quarter after his face hit the floor during a fall, as he was later ruled out after entering concussion protocol.

San Antonio still kept pace with Portland and ended up taking a 93-79 lead early in the fourth quarter, although the Trail Blazers closed the game on a 27-10 run to secure the victory.

With Portland holding a 102-101 advantage and just over 10 seconds left in the fourth, Deni Avdija connected with Robert Williams III for an emphatic alley-oop.

Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson shined in the win, scoring a game-high 31 points while shooting 64.7 percent from the field and 5-of-9 on triples.
