Watch Steph Curry's Honest Reaction to Warriors Making NBA Play-In Game as 10 Seed in New Video
Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry set an astronomical standard earlier in his career, but he was able to find the humor in his team's recent postseason struggles.
While speaking to reporters after Sunday's 115-110 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in the regular-season finale, Curry was asked about his thoughts on being in the play-in tournament for the fourth time in the last six years. When he was informed that this is the second time that the Warriors are the No. 10 seed, he let out a big laugh before admitting that he's "grateful for it now because you have one game and hopefully another to keep your season alive."

Golden State ended the year with a 37-45 record, its first time finishing below .500 since 2019-20. Curry missed significant time with a knee injury, and star wing Jimmy Butler III suffered a season-ending torn ACL. Veteran center Kristaps Porzingis, who was acquired from the Atlanta Hawks at this season's trade deadline, has struggled to stay in the lineup since his arrival.
"This is such a unique year just because of the way it's gone. It's not like we've underperformed, we've just been hit with so many injuries that your expectations had to shift because of availability," Curry said. "And then the trade deadline, we made a move, and we're scratching and clawing trying to get as many guys back to play in time to make this play-in game on Wednesday worth it."
The Warriors will face the Clippers on Wednesday in hopes of extending their season for at least one more game. Curry said he's looking forward to the matchup, but he knows it's an uphill climb to lock up the eighth and final seed in the playoffs.
"I'm excited to have another game, for sure," he said. "But, we came into the year with a different mindset, and now we gotta adjust."
