Milan Momcilovic Enters Transfer Portal, Top Landing Spots for ISU Star amid NBA Draft Decision
Iowa State leading scorer Milan Momcilovic could be wearing a new uniform next season if he decides to remain in college.
ESPN's Jeff Borzello reported on Sunday that Momcilovic is declaring for the NBA draft while also entering the transfer portal. Borzello noted that the sharpshooter is now "the No. 1 player in the portal."
As the most coveted player available if he decides not to go pro, some of Momcilovic's top landing spots in the transfer portal include Michigan, Florida and Kentucky.

The Wolverines are coming off a national championship win in this year's NCAA Tournament, and it can be expected that they want to reload for another run at the title next season. After watching UAB transfer Yaxel Lendoborg lead the way for Michigan this year, Momcilovic could have a similar impact.
The Gators and Wildcats both fell short of their championship goals this season, so it's almost guaranteed that they will be aggressive in the transfer portal. Momcilovic would be the biggest prize for any team during this year's cycle.
For now, it sounds like Momcilovic is leaning toward pursuing a professional career in the NBA. As part of his announcement, he declared, "At this time, I'm turning my full focus to the NBA draft," and he said his "goal" is to stay in it this summer.
Momcilovic averaged 16.9 points and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 48.7 percent from three-point range, the latter of which led the entire nation. He broke Iowa State's single-season three-point record before the Cyclones ended the year with a loss in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
If Momcilovic stays in the NBA draft, he could have a bright future at the next level as the latest sharpshooter who can dominate from beyond the arc.
