New Rob Wright III Rumors on Landing Spots, NIL Projection for No. 1 PG in CBB Transfer Portal
Rob Wright III is the top-ranked point guard in the men's basketball transfer portal, per 247Sports' rankings, which means he is in quite the position to command a significant name, image and likeness deal.
And he will reportedly do just that.

Insider Adam Finkelstein said Thursday, "I do expect that he will command big dollars," while fellow insider Travis Branham said the guard "could become one of the highest-paid players in the sport over the next couple weeks when his decision is finally made."
Jeff Goodman of the Field of 68 reported Kentucky is viewed as the leader:
Transferring will be nothing new for Wright.
He arrived at Baylor as a 5-star recruit as part of the 2024 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings, and was a Big 12 All-Freshman selection during his one season with the Bears.
However, he left for BYU the following offseason and took a second-year leap with the Cougars.
He averaged 18.1 points, 4.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 41 percent from deep. The result was a spot on the All-Big 12 Third Team, and he helped lead BYU to the NCAA tournament.
That Wright put up those numbers while playing alongside potential No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa is a testament to his ability to impact the game a number of ways and adjust to his teammates when they control the ball and offense for extended stretches.
A veteran point guard who can hit from the outside, attack off the bounce, facilitate when defenders collapse, play solid perimeter defense and control the pace of play is incredibly valuable in college basketball, and one team will land just that in Wright from the transfer portal.
Whether it is Louisville, Kentucky, Arkansas or someone else, that team will be much better positioned to challenge for a deep NCAA tournament run next season when Wright does make his ultimate decision.
