Panthers 2026 NFL Schedule Released for Bryce Young, Tetairoa McMillan's 2nd Year
The Carolina Panthers' path towards a second consecutive playoff appearance gained some clarity.
After quarterback Bryce Young and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan helped the Panthers end a seven-year playoff drought in 2025, their 2026 schedule was officially released.
Full schedule information available on the team's official website.
Analysis
As the defending NFC South champions, the Panthers will have to navigate through a first-place schedule in 2026.
They'll face fellow NFC division-winners including the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks. Carolina will also play against its same-place finisher from the AFC West, the Denver Broncos.
The Panthers are set to clash with the entire NFC North and AFC North next season in addition to the standard six games against their NFC South rivals.
Carolina needs to find success away from Bank of America stadium in order to excel in 2026, as four of its eight road opponents finished with a winning record last season.
Continued improvement from Young would provide a boost to the Panthers' playoff hopes, as he's coming off a 2025 campaign in which he completed a career-high 63.6 percent of his throws for 3,011 yards and 23 touchdowns compared to 11 interceptions.
Pivotal Matchups
It's no secret that finding ways to win against division rivals is key for playoff positioning, especially after Carolina clinched its 2025 postseason berth by ending the year in a three-way tie with the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers atop the NFC South.
The Buccaneers are a threat to win the division once again with Baker Mayfield under center, while the Saints could boast a more explosive offense in 2026 after handing running back Travis Etienne a four-year contract worth $52 million in free agency.
Carolina's matchup with Seattle should serve as a measuring stick, especially after it suffered a lopsided 27-10 loss to the defending Super Bowl champions in Week 17 of the 2025 season.
McMillan was held to a season-low five yards in the defeat against the Seahawks, one of the few low points of a stellar inaugural campaign in which he earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
It isn't difficult to imagine him stepping up in games against the Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals next season.
