Duke Leads 2027 CBB Title Betting Odds, List of Top Teams After Michigan Wins 2026 Championship
Michigan may be cutting down the nets right now, but Las Vegas believes no men's basketball team is better positioned to do so next year than Duke.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Blue Devils are favored to win the national championship during the 2026-27 season at +700 (bet $100 to win $700). The Wolverines aren't far behind at +800 after defeating UConn in Monday's national title game.
Here is a look at the top contenders:

If Duke is going to parlay its favorite status into a national title, it is going to have to figure out how to close marquee games in the tournament under head coach Jon Scheyer.
After all, its last three Big Dance losses were particularly painful results for the program:
That the Blue Devils beat the Michigan team they would have faced in the national title game if they advanced that far during the regular season probably only makes their loss to UConn more difficult to deal with in hindsight.
Yet it is a testament to the program's consistency and overall ceiling that it is still considered the favorite even though it is likely going to lose Cameron Boozer to the NBA draft.
Still, the odds are something of a guessing game at this point even though programs such as Duke, Michigan and Arizona are well positioned to be factors in next season's race.
After all, the transfer portal has turned the sport upside down in recent years, and there will surely be a number of headline players to change schools in the coming days.
The Wolverines started a lineup of all transfers in Monday's title game, so there could be a championship team that will be built in the next two weeks when the portal is open.
That could alter the odds, but Duke is sitting atop the list for now.
