Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was impressed by UCLA senior Gabriela Jaquez's role in helping her team win its first NCAA women's basketball national championship.

Clark posted about Jaquez after watching her record a double-double in UCLA's 79-51 defeat of South Carolina in Sunday's national title game.

Jaquez set the tone early for the Bruins, including with a statement and-1 in the opening minutes of the first.

Jaquez ultimately posted a game-high 21 points alongside 10 rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes of UCLA's title win.

She is the fifth women's basketball player to ever hit that stat line in a national championship game, according to ESPN's Alexa Philippou.

Jaquez is the sister of former UCLA star and Miami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr.

She went into Sunday having averaged 13.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, two assists and 1.1 steals through 37 games of her senior season with the Bruins.

Jaquez is projected in Bleacher Report's latest 2026 WNBA mock draft to go to the Connecticut Sun as the No. 12 selection. There's a chance she could end up joining Clark and the Fever if Indiana decides to target her at No. 10.

Her strong performance in Sunday's championship game could potentially boost her draft stock before the draft takes place a week from Monday in New York.
