Browns Reportedly Withdraw Rule Proposal for NFL Draft Pick Trading After Rams HC McVay's Remark
The Cleveland Browns have withdrawn their proposal to allow teams to trade draft picks up to five year into the future, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The news comes after Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay suggested that the Browns' rule change proposal had no chance of passing.

While speaking to Kay Adams during an appearance on Up & Adams on Monday, McVay declared that there's a "zero percent chance" that the Browns' proposal to allow teams to trade draft picks up to five years in the future instead of the current limitation of three years gets passed during the annual league meeting in Phoenix this week.
"I respect the courage for [Browns general manager Andrew Berry] to be able to have a very sound reasoning of what's behind it," McVay said. "If there's one thing you can bet Vegas odds on, there's no chance that thing's getting through."
Cleveland's proposal would've needed at least 24 out of 32 votes to be approved. The Browns were one of two teams to submit rule change proposals this offseason along with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
When asked if he would have supported Cleveland's proposal, McVay made it clear that he will be among those who vote to deny it this week.
"I'm not backing that," McVay declared. "Competition Committee was 11-0, I'm on the Competition Committee."
With the Browns withdrawing their proposal, McVay will not have to vote on it now.
