Dan Hurley Praises Duke's Cam, Cayden Boozer on Video After UConn's Historic March Madness Win

UConn head coach Dan Hurley praised Duke freshmen Cameron and Cayden Boozer following the Huskies' hard-fought 73-72 win over the Blue Devils in the Elite Eight of the 2026 NCAA tournament.

"The Boozer boys, I've been admirers of their approach to basketball," Hurley told reporters Sunday. "All I've ever watched these guys do is just win everything that they play in over the course of their career and grassroots and then the impact they've had on Duke and obviously across the board."

Hurley's squad overcame a 19-point deficit to win in the final seconds against Duke, as UConn guard Silas Demary Jr. tipped a pass to force a turnover by Cayden before Huskies freshman Braylon Mullins hit a game-winning triple with 0.3 seconds left in the contest.

Duke led 44-29 at the half and still lost, representing the largest blown halftime lead by a No. 1 seed in March Madness history (via Josh Dubow of the Associated Press).

Cameron finished with a game-high 27 points on 10-of-21 shooting in the defeat, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out four assists.

As for Cayden, he scored 15 points and racked up six assists to go along with two steals. He shot 4-of-5 from the field and connected on his lone three-point attempt of the game.

The twin brothers entered their inaugural season at Duke with high expectations, as they won four consecutive Florida state championships in high school.

They went on to help the Blue Devils compile a 35-2 record heading into Sunday's action, winning the ACC's regular-season title as well as the conference tournament.

Their pursuit of a national championship came to a stunning end against UConn, though.
