The UConn women's team has cruised to the Final Four, riding a 54-game winning streak, an undefeated 2025-26 season and a dominant tournament run, capped by a win over No. 6 Notre Dame in the Elite Eight.
Notre Dame pushed UConn Sunday, but the Huskies pulled away for an 18-point victory to punch their ticket to the Final Four.
The win marks UConn's 25th Final Four appearance — and its 17th in the last 18 tournaments — showcasing one of the program's most dominant squads yet.
Despite not needing a full takeover from star Azzi Fudd, the Huskies still delivered. Leading scorer Sarah Strong led the way with a monster performance, finishing with 21 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three blocks, while Fudd added 13 points, four assists and three steals.
UConn's bench provided a major boost with 32 points, highlighted by Blanca Quiñonez's 20 points on 58 percent shooting along with eight rebounds.
The Huskies now head to the Final Four in pursuit of back-to-back national championships.
UCLA def. Duke, 70-58

No. 1 UCLA has been a dominant force throughout the tournament, winning every game by double digits as it cruised to the Final Four, where it will face either No. 1 Texas or No. 2 Michigan.
No. 3 Duke provided the Bruins' toughest test of the postseason, pushing them to the brink in what became UCLA's narrowest margin of victory — a 12-point win after trailing by eight at halftime.
Now, UCLA is within reach of its first national championship game in program history after a 34-1 season and a trip to the Final Four.
The Bruins were led by star Lauren Betts, who recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds while adding five blocks to lead all scorers. Angela Cugalic chipped in 15 points off the bench.
UCLA is headed to the semifinals for the first time in program history after winning its first Elite Eight matchup, continuing to break barriers.
