Josh Allen 'Could Barely Walk' During 2025 Season, Bills HC Joe Brady Says in Injury Update on QB
Buffalo Bills star quarterback was playing through a broken bone in his foot late in the 2025 season and in the playoffs.
Head coach Joe Brady detailed just how serious Allen's foot injury this week.
"He's good to go," Brady told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero (h/t Bobby Kownack of NFL.com). "The thing about Josh Allen, he got surgery after the season, but he's playing as if you think there's nothing wrong with him. The guy could barely walk, and then he's playing games and it's not impacting [his play]. He's built different. And let's hope it continues that way, but he'll be good to go in the offseason."

Allen suffered the foot injury in Week 16 and later re-aggravated it in Week 17. While he wasn't quite at his best in those two contests, he led the Bills to a wild-card round win over the Jacksonville Jaguars behind 273 passing yards and three total touchdowns.
After the season, Allen was seen at the Bills' facilities wearing a walking boot and using crutches. General manager Brandon Beane said that Allen "went and had his foot fixed."
"If we had a game this week, I would be playing this week," Allen told reporters at the time.
Allen's toughness is clearly second to none, but he'll try to avoid having to play through injuries in 2026.
