New Najee Rumors on Raiders, Seahawks Contract Interest in NFL Free Agency

Zach BacharMar 25, 2026

Multiple teams are reportedly interested in free-agent running back Najee Harris.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Harris visited the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday and plans to meet with the Las Vegas Raiders next.

The 28-year-old only appeared in three games as a member of the Los Angeles Chargers during the 2025 season before suffering a torn Achilles.

Harris was also sidelined during training camp ahead of his lone year in Los Angeles due to an eye injury.

His recent health woes are particularly surprising considering he didn't miss a game across his first four seasons in the league.

The Pittsburgh Steelers initially selected Harris with a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft, adding him with the No. 24 overall selection.

He put together an impressive rookie year, rushing for 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns while earning a Pro Bowl nod.

Harris wasn't able to build upon his inaugural season, though.

While he rushed for at least 1,000 yards and six touchdowns in each of the next three years, he averaged just 3.9 yards per carry over that span.

Harris compiled 86 all-purpose yards on 18 touches in his three appearances with the Chargers last season.

The Seahawks have already lost running back Kenneth Walker III in free agency, as the reigning Super Bowl MVP signed a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

While Las Vegas still has Ashton Jeanty as its starting running back following his promising rookie season, the Raiders could target Harris to reduce Jeanty's workload after he ranked No. 7 among all players with 266 carries in 2025.
