New Providence HC Bryan Hodgson Drops Hilarious Quote on Recruiting in Trending Video
New Providence men's basketball head coach Bryan Hodgson doesn't seem to be too worried about recruiting players following his change of scenery.
"If you ever wanna question my recruiting abilities just take a look at my wife Jordan," Hodgson said at his introductory press conference on Tuesday (24:17 mark).

Providence officially hired Hodgson as its next head coach on Sunday after he spent the 2025-26 season patrolling the sidelines for South Florida.
He'll replace Kim English, who was fired after the Friars suffered an 85-72 loss to St. John's in the Big East tournament quarterfinals and finished the season with a 15-18 record.
South Florida thrived under Hodgson, posting a 25-9 record and winning the American Athletic Conference tournament. The Bulls also made their first March Madness appearance since 2012, ultimately falling the Louisville in the first round of the tournament.
Hodgson was named the AAC Coach of the Year for his efforts, as USF finished at 13-19 in the year prior to his arrival.
He previously served as Arkansas State's head coach from 2023-25, helping the school compile a 45-28 record across his two years with the program.
Hodgson also has experience as an assistant under Nate Oats at Alabama from 2019-23, with ESPN's Pete Thamel noting that he "helped establish the Crimson Tide as one of the country's top recruiting programs" during his tenure.
As the 38-year-old enters his first year with Providence, he's ready to start recruiting.
