Tyrese Haliburton Trolls Kentucky Alums with John Calipari-Arkansas Jab After Iowa State's Win
John Calipari is no longer at Kentucky, but the Wildcats are still catching some strays thanks to him.
Calipari's old employer got blown out 82-63 by Iowa State in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday. Former Cyclones star Tyrese Haliburton posted how he planned on trolling some UK alumni but "forgot they think they Arkansas alum now":
Calipari inspired a lot of loyalty from his players during his 15 years as the Kentucky coach. With Coach Cal in Fayetteville, some of those players have discovered an affinity for the Razorbacks.
Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander picked either Kentucky or Arkansas to win the Big Dance, while teammate Cason Wallace bypassed the Wildcats entirely and chose Calipari's squad.
During last year's tournament, the Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker sent pairs of his Book 1 LX sneaker to Arkansas players. More recently, he wore the Razorbacks logo on his shoe, though he also showed support for BYU, who's coached by former Suns assistant Kevin Young.
For Haliburton, who spent two years at Iowa State, there are no such considerations when it comes to his college basketball allegiances.
