Florida Upset By Iowa, Fans In Shock Over March Madness Bracket Buster as Defending Champions Out

The Florida Gators' quest to repeat as NCAA men's basketball tournament champion ended on Sunday night at the hands of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Florida's loss shattered plenty of brackets in March Madness pools. The Gators were popular pick to, at minimum, reach the second weekend of the Big Dance.

Florida's loss increased the potential for the No. 2 seed Houston Cougars to come out of the South Region and into the Final Four.

Iowa and its Big Ten rival, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, will square off on Thursday in a game many expected Florida to feature in.

Houston and the No. 3 seed Illinois Fighting Illini play in the other Sweet 16 contest at the Toyota Center.
