Dylan Darling Buzzer-Beater for St. John's Thrills Fans in Win vs. Darryn Peterson, Kansas
Dylan Darling, March darling.
The St. John's guard hit a game-winning layup as time expired to lead his team to a 67-65 win over Kansas, the Red Storm's first Sweet 16 appearance since 1999. It was Darling's first bucket of the game.

Folks on social media were loving the March drama:
The Jayhawks are going to have nightmares about St. John's defense for many nights to come, meanwhile.
The Red Storm forced 16 Kansas turnovers in a game that was as much rock fight as it was basketball.
While star guard Darryn Peterson struggled at times against that defense, shooting 5-of-15 from the field, he still managed to score 21 points and added four blocks. And Kansas played tight defense themselves, blocking nine shots while holding the Red Storm to 25-of-69 shooting from the field (36 percent).
But St. John's forced plenty of Kansas mistakes, pulled down 11 offensive rebounds and got just enough offense from the duo of Zuby Ejiofor and Bryce Hopkins (18 points apiece) to set up Darling's thrilling winner.
It appeared that St. John's had this one on ice after taking a 58-45 lead with 7:22 remaining. Kansas showed little quit, however, reeling off a 20-7 run to tie the game with 14.1 seconds remaining. Kansas had a ton of fouls to give and whittle down the clock to just over three seconds remaining before Darling's drive to the basket, a moment that will be etched in St. John's history forever.
