'Get a Life,' UCLA's Mick Cronin Reacts to Criticism of His, UConn's Dan Hurley's Sideline Demeanor
UCLA head coach Mick Cronin responded to criticism of sideline demeanor directed at himself as well as UConn head coach Dan Hurley.
"It's ridiculous," Cronin told reporters Saturday (0:29 mark). "Everybody needs to get a life, bro. Get a life, man. C'mon, man. Get a life, bro. You want to win big? You think coach Hurley's not supposed to be intense but you want to win? We're not coaching Little League, buddy. Everybody doesn't get an at-bat. Come on man. Paying us a lot of money to win games."

Cronin and Hurley have both gone viral for their sideline actions throughout the 2025-26 season, with the former ejecting his own player from a game on Feb. 17.
As for Hurley, he was ejected from a 68-62 loss to Marquette on March 7 after making contact with an official.
Both head coaches will face off in the second round of the 2026 NCAA tournament, as the No. 2 seed Huskies are set to battle the No. 7 seed Bruins on Sunday.
UCLA is making its fifth March Madness appearance in seven years since Cronin took over as head coach in 2019, while UConn has already captured two national championships under Hurley in 2023 and 2024.
Tip-off between the two teams on Sunday is at 8:45 p.m. ET.
