Rick Pitino, Tom Izzo, Hurley Among HCs With Scheyer, Duke in East Region in March Madness Bracket
The East Region in this year's NCAA tournament will feature a handful of legendary coaches.
St. John's Rick Pitino, Michigan State's Tom Izzo, UConn's Dan Hurley and Kansas' Bill Self are all featured in the region, along with a coach on the rise in Duke's Jon Scheyer. There are also Blue Bloods across the board in the East.

Cayden Boozer Returning to Duke
Scheyer and the Blue Devils enter the tournament with the top overall seed after a dominant 32-2 season. Duke's only two losses came by a combined four points, and it has won 11 consecutive games, including the ACC tournament title.
UConn has been great all year, but its kryptonite has been Pitino's squad. Two of the Huskies' five losses have come to the Red Storm, including a 20-point rout in the Big East title game.
St. John's hit its stride late in the year, winning 19 of its last 20 games heading into the tournament. The Red Storm has been on the rise under Pitino and is now looking to make it past the first round for the first time since the early 1990s.
Another meeting between UConn and St. John's might be unlikely, but it certainly would be interesting to see.
Michigan State ended its season on a sour note, losing to Michigan in its season finale before facing an upset in the Big Ten tournament to UCLA. Still, the Spartans are a worthy three seed and could very well make it out of their region.
Kansas has, at times, looked like a contender ready to make a deep run, but the Jayhawks have been inconsistent throughout the year as well. If star freshman Darryn Peterson is fully healthy, Kansas will certainly be a team to watch.
